The layout for Legal Considerations for Indigenous Artists & Designers: An Introductory Guide was designed in collaboration with the RBC Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) at OCAD University.

Key considerations in the layout design included ensuring ease of navigation and presenting complex legal information in a digestible and accessible format. The guide was developed as an interactive PDF, incorporating clickable links that allow users to quickly access additional resources mentioned throughout the document. This approach enhances usability while supporting the guide’s broader goal of empowering Indigenous women entrepreneurs by equipping them with the tools and knowledge necessary for their creative and business endeavors.

The content of the guide was informed by themes that emerged during two roundtables and a webinar focused on legal considerations for Indigenous artists in film and media arts. It directly addresses challenges identified in these discussions, demonstrating a commitment to providing practical and meaningful support for Indigenous creatives.
